My dear friends, deepen… Deepen the intellectual and spiritual foundations of our politics. I know this is complicated, abstract, and perhaps not everybody is interested in it, but where else we should talk about it, if not in Congress?

Intellectual and spiritual foundations.

All of these sound strange and foreign in our profane world, where most people believe only in tangible things,
and only acknowledge intellect as the philosophy of life. That is why talking about the intellectual and spiritual foundations of politics, thinking about it, moreover hoping to gain a compass from it, could cause such feelings in someone that we would be going against the zeitgeist.

But I suggest: we should adjust our glasses! Let’s not take on the romantic and heroic pose of those who fight the zeitgeist. Such posturing most of the time would lead to a Don Quixote-style assault, and win nothing but the well-wishing, indulgent pity of the audience. Instead, let’s notice that the zeitgeist is not the same as the wind of the media. Let’s recognize: those are lulling melodies from the loudspeakers of powerful global companies and global political organizations. The calls for jaunty irresponsibility and a frenzy of consumption, the tunes encouraging unlimited selfishness, are NOT AT ALL the same as the zeitgeist. Under the dreamy quilt of the “zest of life” [as in consumer advertisements] spread by the global elite, there is the real frugal life.

We can see tens of millions of European people who work hard and struggle every day to keep themselves and their families above water. We can see they long for safety and order. We can watch as they increasingly clamber into their cultural identity. And we can see them fight daily for every single square meter of their ordinary life. That is the real zeitgeist!

Let’s adjust our glasses, then, and let’s recognize: the zeitgeist in reality is on our side. On the side of the hard-working, responsible, family-loving, patriotic, European people who cling to their Christian roots. We are the majority… We are the majority, indeed the overwhelming majority. It is only a matter of time — not only in Hungary, but all over Europe, moreover in the whole Western world — until we will be victorious!

All of this also known by the globalist elite, by their subservient bureaucrats, the politicians who are in their pay, the agents who embody their interests, in Soros-type networks. Know it well: that is why they invented the magic word for everything that is national, folksy, Christian and civic: populism. But the repetition of the magic word is in vain; in vain the incantation, in vain the political voodoo. The reality, the real people, the real-life instincts, the real human desires, dreams and hopes will defeat the ruling globalist elite that is at the helm today, and will make Europe great again, and with it, Hungary, too.

But of course this will not happen by itself. This is not the Marxists’ historical materialism, where world history is a predetermined route and will necessarily arrive at its destination. Here there will be fight and struggle; we will have fight and struggle, and this struggle leading the next decade of European debate will be about identity, people, nations, countries, and moreover about continents. And this is how we arrive at the intellectual foundations of our politics. To wit, our success — I believe — depends on the quality of, and how solid the intellectual foundations of our politics are. With a compromised intellect we could not stand today. To win would be utterly impossible.

That is why we should say it! That our politics has intellectual and spiritual foundations, too. Secondly, let’s say it: for the past thousand years, Hungarian politics always had such foundations. Thirdly, let’s say it: that the intellectual foundations had a national basis, and the continuation of the nation was always their goal, and they were arranged around that vocation.

Fourthly, let’s say it: this tradition is wide, colorful and sweeping. With sure judgment we must select from the Great River the current that we want to join. Where joining feels good, because it fits with our Fidesz and Christian-Democratic character. And where it is worth joining, because it is not a dead letter and necrotic tradition, but here and now, fresh, current, and lifelike. And it sets the vocation of politics, and with it, our own personal mission.

Let’s say it then openly: we are not standing on a class or racial basis. We refuse the politics that turns people against one another. We treat their representatives as our political enemies. We stand on a national basis; because of that, instead of class warfare and pedigree fights, we choose national cooperation, quietude, creation. As [Kuno von] Klebelsberg said: “We follow the concept of a productive man.” These are, of course, old things… These are, of course, old things, the well known versions of politics; it is easy to find our way through them.

But there is a “new”, “modern” kind of politics, never seen before. At its center stands a person deprived of his cultural, national, religious and gender identity, perverted into an instinctual mass. The new type of man for the new times: the Homo Brusselicus himself. Let’s say it: because of our convictions, the politics that rejects life’s natural order, debates the national communities’ right to exist, and — based on our experience so far — independent of the intelligence of those who concocted it, and their moralizing goodwill, in Europe this always lead to barbarism.

Let’s say it: in our perception, the most important link between people, beyond the laws of biology, is that spiritual type of connection we call “nation”, which lifts us up to partake in a shared culture and shared tradition. And let’s say that, too: we inherited a unique and great national culture. Our national culture, which makes us who we are. We can thank our national culture that up through today we Hungarians have had the ability to openly face the truth; we have the ability for self-respect and self-knowledge, and we also have the ability to understand our situation and our tasks. We believe that the Hungarian spirit will persist, survive. As the old ones use to say: “Sometimes goes silent, but never dies”.

That spiritual strength makes us capable of receiving the questions towering over our broader home: Europe — which scare others and frighten them away — we can receive them bravely and calmly think about the answers. The old great ones knew it and wrote about the fact — and in that time they even had the habit of talking about it — that exactly this specific Hungarian spirit, and the Hungarian way of thinking that stems from it has given Hungarians the ability to live among the cultured nations, and this has provided moral strength, too; without it such lonely folk who came from so far away — folk like us — could not have stood for a thousand years; why would we give it up now?

My dear friends, we are the sort of political community that is aware that the Hungarian nation was created from the meeting point of the Eastern personality with Western culture. To this — till this day — we grant significance. The love of open-range prairie freedom met with the peace and justice of the Christian faith, and from that humaneness grew respect for human freedom, which is the central point of Hungarian political thinking. That is why we believe unwaveringly in the strength of unity and love.

Our political community… That is why the views of our political community, have a simple thesis: things that are once proven true, will remain true.

My friends, all this might seems self-evident, and it even sounds good, but there is a rub! Countries in Europe decided that they will overstep their Christianity, and will even overstep their own nationality. They want to enter a post-Christian and post-national era. Today the questions are clearly visible: Are we going to continue on the road set by the principles of Christian life and national cultures? Will we still believe in moral truths independent of time and space? For those questions, we presently give different answers. There are some countries that answer YES, and there are those who answer with a NO. The big question of the future: How will a united Europe come from this?

My friends, there is one way I am sure there will not be: if each of us wants to force upon the other our mentality, our interests and goals. There is only one way to retain our unity, and that is if we accept our differences, if we have mutual respect. And instead of the United States of Europe, we create the Alliance of Free European Nations. There is no other way!

Respected Congress, my dear friends! Now I would like to talk about what and why we have to defend. It is a well-known fact that we Hungarians do not like empires. We especially do not like their rulers. We do not like it when the fate of our nation, instead of in our own, is in the hands of the rulers of an empire. Today an empire is once again threatening us. We are an obstruction to a plan that wants to eliminate nations and wants to create a mixed-race Europe. We are an obstruction to a financial and political empire that wants to execute this plan, no matter the cost.

Let’s not prevaricate! For the sake of the execution of the Soros plan, over all of Europe, they want to clear out of the way the governments that represent national interests, including us. In recent years Soros’ NGOs encompassed all determinant levels of the European decision-making process. They are also present in some Hungarian parties in the heartland. They behave like the activists of the Agitation and Propaganda Department of the late Soviet Communist Party. We — old warhorses — can recognize them by their stench! With more refined methods.

But Soros’ soldiers want to determine for us what we shall do, what to think, and moreover what we ourselves should be. [reference to progressive gender theory] For so long the situation was so simple: a human being was a man or a woman, was mother or father. Hungarian, German, or perhaps Russian, Christian or Muslim. Today, they want to force us into a world where these natural and clear outlines are definitely missing. That world has no sure points. It is not clear who is a man or a woman, what a family is, what it means to be Hungarian and Christian. They create a third gender, they mock fate, they qualify families as unnecessary, nations as outdated.

My dear friends, let’s speak clearly! Migration is not the goal but the instrument the of the Soros plan. Millions of people who ended up in unfortunate circumstances from Africa and the Middle East are lured to Europe, moreover are directly transported there, to weaken the nations and provide the final blow to Christian culture.

Let’s speak honestly: in that way, the Soros plan seriously endangers the safety of our everyday life, too. In the immigration-accepting countries of Europe, terror attacks become frequent, crime has increased, violence against women has multiplied, and anti-Semitism has flamed up again. That is what we must prevent! That is the danger we must protect our country from! When we say: let’s defend Hungary, we advertise that we must protect our work, our families, our safety, our rule of law, our industry and the Hungarian culture. And we must defend our future too.

What we did not tolerate from the Soviet empire, we will not tolerate from the Soros empire, either! We will defend our borders, we will prevent the implementation of the Soros plan, and finally, we will also win this fight!
