Mutti Gets Heckled

In the following video German Chancellor Angela Merkel gets heckled (presumably at a campaign rally) by a man who invokes the German Constitution to support his demand that she be thrown out of office, by force in necessary.

Many thanks to Oz-Rita for translating and subtitling this video:

Article 20 of the German Constitution (thanks, Rita):

(1)   The Federal Republic of Germany is a democratic and social federal state.
(2)   All power comes from the people. It is exercised by the people in elections and votes, and by special organs of legislation, executive power, and jurisprudence.
(3)   Legislation is linked to constitutional order; executive power and jurisprudence are bound by law.
(4)   All Germans have the right to oppose anyone who undertakes to abolish this order, if other remedies are not possible.

  1. My goodness what a bland boring passionless speaker Merkel is, the heckler gave her a lesson in public speaking. The audience would have gone home remembering the heckler’s message and not Merkels. How she remains in power is a mystery.

  2. That is my fear -people taking up arms. But if this ‘refugee’ thing doesn’ t stop, I’m afraid it is going to happen.

  3. Thanks for the freedom of expression…

… This guy says as he is physically propelled out of the meeting hall. The irony…

Please note this critiquing individual’s complete lack of name-calling and use of legally accurate references to German Constitutional law.

Yet, not even that person’s admirable dialectic fair play could possibly mitigate his unpardonably dire offense of calling attention to the Chancellor’s New Clothes™.

The parallels to HC Andersen’s (adult) fairy tale are too numerous to catalogue with any brevity.
