Date-Rape Drugs and Sexual Assault: Cultural Enrichment at a Quebec Hospital

A young “Quebecois” culture-enricher named Mohamed Doudou Traoré has just been convicted of drugging young women and then sexually assaulting them while he was a nurse at the Hospital de l’Enfant Jésus in Quebec City (see this French-language CBC report on his conviction). Mr. Traoré’s drug of choice was the notorious date-rape drug ketamine.

Video transcript:

00:00   The Palace of Justice in Quebec, where a nurse at the Hospital de l’Enfant Jésus,
00:04   who was drugging his victims before he raped them,
00:08   received his verdict this morning: he was pronounced guilty.
00:12   We are talking about Mohamed Doudou Traoré,
00:16   who, as you mentioned, is a nurse at l’Enfant Jésus, and his way
00:20   of proceeding was to put his victims to sleep with ketamine,
00:24   which he would put in a phial of alcohol for his victims.
00:28   And once they were more or less asleep, that’s when he would take advantage
00:32   and assault them. And what is special in his case is that
00:36   he invoked the Jordan law a couple of months ago [trial stopped due to unreasonable deadlines];
00:40   so, “unreasonable deadlines” to escape those accusations, but
00:44   the judge rejected this request, therefore there was a trial and the victims could testify.
00:49   And there were even more victims, who didn’t file charges, but who testified
00:53   and told more or less the same story as the other two victims,
00:57   the two who did file charges, about the
01:01   behavior of Mr. Traoré; that in fact they were drugged
01:05   and then raped. So he was judged guilty of sexual assault, but
01:09   also of sexual assault causing lesions, because in the case
01:13   of one of the victims he infected her with chlamydia, so
01:17   this resulted with a more serious charge. And today,
01:21   well, we were waiting for the decision to see if he would be freed
01:25   while awaiting judgment. He wanted that freedom
01:29   while awaiting the decision of the court. Well, yes,
01:33   he received it, however not without having his passport taken away, so
01:37   he won’t be able to leave the country between now and July 7th, when there will be representations
01:41   about the sentence. Martin Everet, La Quebec. Thank you, Martin. Have a nice afternoon.

    • Most hospitals in the province still have catholic names, it’s form the time they were managed by nuns. Lots of primary and high schools have kept these names too, even though the teaching is now secular.

  1. Good thing they let him walk free while awaiting judgement. Just think of all those poor Quebecois girls who might have never known what it feels like to be forcibly culturally enriched had he been confined in jail.

  2. However doubtful it is that (non-sharia) justice will be served, let’s all hope that this particular Mohamed is in deep Doudou.
