Gates of Vienna News Feed 6/30/2016

Russia has softened its policy towards Turkey, and has lifted the ban that prevents Russian holidaymakers from taking charter flights to Turkish resorts. President Erdogan’s apology to President Putin evidently had the desired effect. Mr. Putin also offered his condolences to Turkey for Tuesday’s deadly terror attack on Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul.

In other news, according to economists, Germany may face a loss of 750,000 jobs if Chancellor Merkel does not conclude a free trade deal with the newly independent United Kingdom.

Brexit Britain Bounces Back: Fears Subside as FTSE 100 Soars to Highest Level Since April

BRITAIN’S top stock market has continued its climb to reach its highest level since April, shaking off all fears over Britain’s vote to leave the European Union (EU).

The FTSE 100 jumped another 0.5 per cent in today’s trading, following two days of rising by around 2.5 per cent, which collectvely have seen around £64BILLION added to the index.

The market has now surpassed its pre-referendum level to sit at around 6388 — a high not seen in almost three months.

Experts said the FTSE 100’s boom was remarkable, after a sharp fall on Friday triggered by trader’s surprise at the vote outcome.

The biggest risers on the index today were largely miners, which are set to benefit from overseas sales and a weakened pound, as well as commodity gains.

Congress Passes PROMESA Act for Puerto Rico Debt Crisis

Vote came two days before Puerto Rico is due to make $2 billion payment to creditors

The U.S. Senate passed the bill known by its acronym PROMESA, which translates to promise, on a bipartisan 68-30 vote, three weeks after the House overwhelmingly backed the measure. The vote came two days before Puerto Rico is due to make a $2 billion payment to creditors.

The legislation establishes a seven-member control board to oversee negotiations with creditors and the courts over reducing some debt. It does not provide any federal taxpayer funds to reduce that debt.

The PROMESA bill would also require the territory to create a fiscal plan to bring the island back from its current financial situation. Among other requirements, the plan would have to provide “adequate” funds for public pensions, which the government has underfunded by more than $40 billion.

Breaking: Paris Terror Attack Weapon Linked to Fast & Furious

Firearm from notorious gun-walking scandal turns up on another continent

Is Eric Holder responsible for the Paris terror attacks? Judicial Watch reports that one of the guns used in the attack has been traced back to Phoenix, the site of the Obama Administration’s gun-running experiment Fast & Furious.

Back in March, Lt. Col. Matt Smith-Meck — working on behalf of slain Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry’s family — first revealed on the Alex Jones Show that Operation Fast and Furious is ongoing, and that weapons are being resold by the cartels to broader international networks.

“What I would speculate is — dovetailing on what Tosh Plumlee has been on your program before and talked about — this is, I think, part of a much larger international gun running operation,” Smith-Meck said.

“We know from accounts from folks that are actually involved in running these weapons, in September of 2010, weapons — separate from what we would call Fast and Furious — were run down to Mexico, down to a town in Mexico, Caborca actually, met with a international middle eastern arms dealer and en route over to the Middle East,” the retired US Marine stated.

“And I think of great import, is a Moroccon DST commander — their DST is their internal security forces — on 16 October 2010, reported to his supervisors that Fast and Furious weapons were in the kingdom of Morocco en route to arm the rebels in Algeria.”

Census Shows Most Common Age of Whites is 56, For Hispanics it’s 9

The most common age of Hispanics is 47 years younger.

If demographics are destiny, the US will soon become Mexico.

– From The Daily Caller:

U.S. Census data of American residents shows that the most common age for white Americans is by far the oldest. The most common age of Hispanics is 47 years younger.

The most common age of white American residents is 56 years old, 27 years old for Asian Americans, 25 years old for black Americans, and nine years old for Hispanic Americans, according to June 2016 census data. […]

If you want an idea of what the country will look like in 15 or so years when whites are the minority, just take a look at the riots recently in San Jose — where it’s already happened. [Comment: Check out the maps. US population is being replaced with those with no love for the constitution or America as a nation. This is no accident, but part of an insidious plan to destroy the nation state.] ===========

CIA Chief: Genome-Editing May Be Used for Biological Warfare

Brennan claims advances in genome editing pose a threat to national security

Advances in genome editing pose a threat to national security and may be used to create biological weapons, Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan said at the Council on Foreign Relations on Wednesday.

“Nowhere are the stakes higher for our national security than in the field of biotechnology,” Brennan stated. “Recent advances in genome editing that offer great potential for breakthroughs in public health are also a cause for concern because the same methods can be used to create genetically engineered biological warfare agents.”

GOP Elite is More Hostile to Donald Trump Than to Hillary Clinton

If Trump loses — and loses big — the GOP leadership may be banished to minority status on the Hill, but such a ban would be temporary. After two years of Hillary, the GOP top brass would bemoan the horrors of Hillary. They would beg the grassroots to give them one more chance to stop Hillary in hopes of another 1994 or 2010.

But even if that happens, we know that Ryan and McConnell would be pushing another GOP con. Both men worked with Barack Obama to plot passage of the Trans Pacific Partnership. Both men capitulated on budget proposal after budget proposal. And both men would be the wings to Hillary’s hawk in foreign intervention across the globe.

But what happens if Trump wins? The GOP as Ryan, McConnell, and the donor class knows it, changes.

Gone are the free trade deals that have funneled trillions into the bank accounts of Wall Street donors — and millions of dollars into GOP fund-raising accounts — at the expense of blue collar paychecks.

Gone is the open door that allows cheap labor (and potential terrorists) to cross the border at-will. Gone are the unnecessary wars that serve no vital U.S. interest other than to bankrupt the nation.

The GOP elite will never support Trump because their pursuit of power has caused them to be more aligned the other establishment team — Hillary’s Democrats — than with Trump’s Republicans. The GOP elite could survive a Hillary win, but odds of surviving a Trump win are far less.

For this reason Trump must resist any attempt to curry favor or support from this cabal of con artists. That is not to say he must routinely attack them, but it is to say he needs to keep a ten-foot pole handy. This is Trump’s election to lose and, if he does, it will not be because Hillary beat him; it will be because of the danger that came from within.

But there is no need to let the establishment foxes into the hen house. Trump, thanks to historic support from the GOP rank and file, has the Republican elite exactly where he wants them.

Judge Expands Investigation Into Hillary Dealings With Foundation Donors

Then-Sec. Clinton meets with foreign Clinton Foundation donors

A federal judge on Wednesday ordered the State Department to produce the e-mail records of Hillary Clinton’s scheduler during her tenure as secretary of state, expanding an investigation being pursued by conservative nonprofit Citizens United into the overlap between Clinton’s official travel and her meetings with foreign Clinton Foundation donors.

Citizens United is slated to receive all e-mails sent to and from Lona Valmoro, Clinton’s State Department scheduler, in the two-week periods before each of 14 international trips Clinton took during her four years in office. David Bossie, president of Citizens United, hopes to confirm suspicions that Clinton maintained an off-the-books schedule, meeting with Clinton Foundation donors on the taxpayer’s dime.

Kentucky Congressman Wants to ‘Amexit’ From U.N.

(Mediaite) Following the non-binding referendum vote for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union, one Kentucky congressman is rekindling the fight for America to opt out of the United Nations.

“Time for ?#?amexit?? I’ m a cosponsor of H.R. 1205 to get the US out of the UN. ?#?brexit?” Republican Congressman Thomas Massie wrote on his Facebook wall Saturday.

The bill, which was introduced in Mar. 2015, is entitled the American Sovereignty Restoration Act. The act would terminate the country’s membership in the international co-operative organization headquartered in New York City; it would, of course, sever the agreement regarding that Manhattan headquarters.

Knockout Game? Video Shows 16-Year-Old Sucker Punch 12-Year-Old With Brass Knuckles

If races were reversed, this would be a national news story.

A shocking video shows a 16-year-old launching an apparently unprovoked attack on a 12-year-old boy while wearing brass knuckles in what could be another example of the infamous “knockout game.”

The 23 second clip shows Faulkner County teen Kane Millsaps flipping off the camera before brutally striking the 12-year-old in the face.

Millsaps, who claimed he was provoked, pleaded not guilty to battery, a felony, and possessing an instrument of crime. He is being charged as an adult over the incident, which took place on May 31st in Conway, Arkansas.

Millsaps said he attacked the victim because he was “running his mouth saying he was an MMA [Mixed Martial Arts] Fighter and he could beat him up,” however, the witness who recorded the incident told investigators that the victim “did not even see Millsaps coming and did not know he was going to be hit.”

Michelle Obama’s One Night Stay in Morocco Cost Taxpayers $612,322

Trip aimed to promote ‘Let Girls Learn’

First Lady Michelle Obama’s one night stay in Morocco cost taxpayers over $600,000 in hotel and car rental costs alone.

Mrs. Obama traveled to the North African country with her daughters Sasha and Malia and mother Marian Robinson to promote her education initiative “Let Girls Learn.” She arrived in Morocco wearing a $1,750 designer dress and ended the night with a “lavish dinner” with Princess Lalla Salma and actress Meryl Streep.

Rooms were booked at three five-star hotels for the 24-hour visit, according to contracts signed off by the State Department.

Two contracts were signed for rooms at the Royal Mansour worth $50,000 and $10,073. The five-star hotel has a mother-daughter spa suite, promises its guests “wonder, luxury and unparalleled services,” and offers a “spiritual spa journey.”

Obama Rants About Populism, Trump

Obama a key puppet of technocratic elite

President Obama went off on his own rant Wednesday at a trilateral press conference in which he disputed the idea that Donald Trump is a populist and that the presumptive GOP nominee instead promotes “nativism” or “xenophobia.”

After reporters asked a series of questions of Mr. Obama, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Mr. Obama decided he had something else to say in Ottawa — he addressed the common theme of populism raised during the event.

“I’m not prepared to concede the notion that some of the rhetoric that’s been popping up is populist,” Mr. Obama said, referring to Trump.

Reddit Censoring Anti-Islamic Speech Following Istanbul Bombings

Following an AMA in /r/The_Donald by Breitbart Tech editor Allum Bokhari, users began messaging Breitbart reporters with evidence of ongoing censorship across Reddit. We’ve previously reported on the suppression of anti Islamic speech on Reddit’s /r/News subreddit following the Orlando massacre, committed by Omar Mateen in the name of the Islamic State. Similarly, multiple comments relating to the Islamic religion were deleted from the /r/News thread relating to the Istanbul bombings.

Luckily Reddit archiving site Ceddit.com keeps records of every thread on Reddit and highlights comments deleted on Reddit’s official site in red. Below are a few examples of comments that have been deleted, many simply questioning why they can no longer see comments they had posted earlier and some comments even predicting censorship by /r/News mods. …

Indeed, there is very little free speech on Twitter or Facebook or the majority of other Silicon Valley tech companies either — they are private companies, unbound by constitutional free-speech protections and with highly progressive workforces. The only thing that regular users can do to fight back against this is to spread consumer awareness, alert people aware that their opinions are being silenced and that their forum for discussion is not as open and welcoming as they once believed.

As always, Breitbart is constantly on the lookout for cases of censorship across all social media platforms and welcomes any and all evidence relating to suppression of free speech.

Spoiled College Grad Demands New Dress Code at Job, Gets the Boot

College kids have a pretty easy time getting their way on campus. Just make enough of a stink and the universities cave.

Unfortunately, these students eventually reach a little place called the real world, where things aren’t so forgiving. One recently wrote in to an advice columnist because the antics he’d gotten away with elsewhere suddenly didn’t work.

You see, Junior was at his internship, and he wanted the company to have a more lax dress code. Plus, they noticed one of the regular staff wearing shoes that weren’t in line with the standard dress code, and that just wasn’t right. So, this individual got together with his fellow interns and wrote up a proposal for an alternate dress code (hmm … ) accompanied with a petition (whoops!) and sent it on.

Hilarity ensued:…

Fatal Mississauga House Explosion Reportedly a Murder Investigation

Peel Regional Police have yet to officially comment on reports Thursday morning that the deadly house explosion in Mississauga is now being treated as a murder investigation.

Sources have confirmed a special team of Peel police officers is searching for evidence of foul play as investigators continue to sift through the rubble of Tuesday’s deadly explosion on Hickory Drive that obliterated a home and damaged 24 others.

Police would also neither confirm nor deny reports that a man connected to the home is unaccounted for as officers work to notify the next of kin of the woman killed in the blast. They haven’t released the woman’s name and haven’t commented on reports that two people are missing.

“I’m not aware of anyone being unaccounted for but we haven’t been able to do a good enough search for safety reasons,” said Const. Mark Fischer.

Mississauga Fire Chief Tim Beckett said a specialized canine search-and-rescue team sniffed around the rubble and found no evidence of living victims.

“We’re comfortable that there was nobody in those buildings. We now have people accountable on both sides of the blast zone,” Beckett said.

A property records check done by The News on June 29 shows the home is owned by Robert Walter Nadler. Ownership was transferred to him by Frank Nadler in 2009, records show. A call to a number associated to the home goes to a voicemail for “Bob and Diane.”

The cause of the explosion is still unknown…

Italian Journalist Destroys Anti-Brexit Arguments and Blasts ‘Rubbish’ EU

An Italian financial journalist has delivered a devastating verdict on the European Union — saying Britain is far better off out and hoping Brexit will help destroy the ‘anti-democratic project”.

Paulo Barnard was presenting his regular slot on economic talk show La Gabbia days before Britain voted to leave the EU, when he exposed some of the most common held myths about Brexit.

Asked if he thought Brexit would create a domino effect in Europe, Barnard replies: “I hope. I hope it will destroy this rubbish.”

He continued: “If a Brit overlook’s Dover’s cliffs, what does he see?

“He sees a Europe that from 2007 to today has lost its GDP to the point of not getting it back.

“He sees an unemployment rate that’s double that of the UK. He sees banking gaps for €1.7 trillion in Europe, that nobody is covering.

“He turns around to the other side and sees an America that from 2007 to today has regained all of their GDP and added 10% to the national wealth.”

Out With Britain in With Turkey: Turks Arrive in Brussels and Argue EU Needs Them Now

Just 48 hours after David Cameron waved farewell to EU bureaucrats, Turkish officials landed in Brussels to launch their latest bid.

In a shameless bid to jump on Brexit, EU minister Omer Celik claimed the EU NEEDED Turkey and said his country had economic and geopolitical weight that would replace the loss of the British.

“Turkey, a NATO member strategically located between Europe and the Middle East and boasting a vibrant economy and young population, will be a great asset for the EU,” said Mr Celik in Brussels.

He added: “Turkey is a major European power. Europe needs a fresh start and a fresh vision and will have to include Turkey,” he said, referring to Britain’s decision to leave, or ‘Brexit’.

“Whatever the picture will be after Brexit, Turkey’s position will be stronger. Any picture that doesn’t include Turkey will be a weak picture.”

Police Launch ‘Don’t Touch Me’ Wristbands to Stop Migrant Sex Attacks in Sweden

Sweden’s police chief unveiled the force’s latest weapon in the fight against sexual assault: wristbands reading “Don’t touch me”.

A recent Swedish press release warns that groping is a crime. In it, the country’s national police chief Dan Eliasson said: “No one should have to accept sexual molestation. So do not grope. And if you are groped, report it to the police.” …

Sexual assaults were reported at Swedish music festivals Arvika in 2006 and 2010, Emmaboda in 2014 and Bråvalla in 2015. Police were accused of covering up the attacks.

Breitbart London reported that Stockholm Council and festival organisers in the country knew sex attacks by migrants were endangering women, but thought it would have been “irresponsible” to speak out about the trend.

The EU is About Control, Not Free Trade

Technocracy is 1984-style totalitarianism

On Tuesday, during a somewhat raucous session of the European parliament, Nigel Farage gave his post-Brexit “victory speech.”

Besides his trademark taunting of his pro-EU colleagues, Mr Farage made an important point, suggesting:

Why don’t we be grown up, pragmatic, sensible, realistic and let’s cut between us a sensible tariff-free deal and thereafter recognise that the United Kingdom will be your friend, that we will trade with you, cooperate with you, we will be your best friends in the world.

This statement, like most of Mr Farage’s speech, was greeted with jeers. While the reaction could simply be regarded as being due to Mr Farage’s earlier taunting and to the emotional nature of the post-Brexit debate, it seems to hint at a deeper issue, which has been brought up on the Mises Wire several times: That the European Union is not primarily about free trade for mutual benefit, but about political integration and economic harmonisation, in which free trade is just the reward for going along with the political ambitions of Brussels.

This alternative explanation seems to be confirmed by comments made by the president of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, in May, including that “deserters will not be welcomed back with open arms,” and yesterday, by German chancellor Angela Merkel, who said in front of the German Bundestag:

Tommy Robinson Accused by Police of Inciting Racial Hatred Over ‘F**k ISIS’ England Flag

Robinson now faces a football banning order imposed by Bedfordshire Police.

Former English Defence League (EDL) leader Tommy Robinson has been accused by police of inciting racial hatred after wearing an anti-Islamic State (Isis) shirt and holding an England flag with the words “F**k Isis” printed on the front, his lawyer has claimed.

Robinson had managed to escape being banned from travelling to France to watch England play in the Euro 2016 tournament after police officers arrived at his home near Luton when he’d already left the country.

The 33-year-old was pictured days later in France holding an England flag with the words “F**k Isis” and wearing a shirt showing a cartoon of an England fan urinating on the Black Banner flag adopted by Islamic State (Daesh).

On his return to the UK, Bedfordshire Police appeared committed to pursuing the banning order and served him with the application.

Turkey to Replace UK in EU?

If Turkey joins EU, ISIS could use EU visas to strike anywhere in Europe

The EU is apparently in talks with Turkey to join the EU, fueling concerns ISIS could use Turkish visas to strike anywhere in Europe.

“The EU will deepen sectoral cooperation with Turkey, while striving to anchor Turkish democracy in line with its accession criteria, including the normalization of relations with Cyprus,” a recently released EU document states. “The EU will therefore pursue the accession process — sticking to strict and fair accession conditionality — while coherently engaging in dialogue on counter-terrorism, regional security and refugees.”

“We will also work on a modernized customs union and visa liberalization, and cooperate further with Turkey in the fields of education, energy and transport.”

German chancellor Angel Merkel was pushing to allow Turkey into the EU, which was one of the primary reasons why the UK voted to leave the unelected bureaucracy; allowing Turkey in the EU would give nearly 75 million Muslims freedom of movement and jobs within member-states, and ISIS uses Turkey as a home base.

King Abdullah of Jordan even said Turkey was already exporting ISIS-linked terrorists to Europe.

“The fact that terrorists are going to Europe is part of Turkish policy,” the monarch said. “Turkey keeps on getting a slap on the hand, but they are let off the hook.”

UK Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn Compares Israel to ISIS

Britain’s Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn is in hot water again, this time over a speech in which he appeared to compare Israel to the brutal Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group.

Ironically, Corbyn’s controversial remarks were made in an address concerning the party’s recent anti-Semitism saga, over which dozens of politicians were suspended for anti-Semitic comments and online posts.

Responding to the findings of party member Shami Chakrabati, who headed a probe into anti-Semitism within the left-wing opposition party, Corbyn said: “Modern anti-Semitism may not always be about overt violence and persecution, though there is too much of that even to this day.

“We must also be vigilant against subtler and invidious manifestations of this nasty ancient hatred and avoid slipping into its traps by accident or intent.”

But he then went on to equate Israel, the world’s only Jewish country, to ISIS.

“Our Jewish friends are no more responsible for the actions of Israel or the Netanyahu Government than our Muslim friends are for those of various self-styled Islamic states or organizations.”…

Op-Ed: Dear Diaspora Jews: Your Money is Killing Us

By Ari Soffer

Against your will, your governments will be donating a paycheck to the family of the terrorist who murdered a 13-year-old Israeli girl in her sleep. Stop this madness…

Shock, crippling sadness, despair, fury.

No doubt most people reading this article will have experienced that all too familiar, gut-wrenching roller coaster of emotions since the news broke this morning. Another deadly terrorist attack; this time, the horrific murder of an innocent 13-year-old Israeli girl by a Palestinian knifeman.

There is so much one could say — but what hasn’t already been said? We’ve been here so many times before.

Yes, the murder of Hallel-Yaffa Ariel is a stark, tragic, chilling illustration of the brutal Arab-Israeli paradigm.

A talented, intelligent, beautiful young Jewish girl — whose hopes and dreams and ambitions included nothing more offensive than a passion for dancing — slaughtered as she slept in her bed by a brainwashed Arab jihadist, who stabbed her repeatedly in the back.

“What threat did she pose?” her distraught father asked. She existed, as a Jew, in her ancestral homeland, is the only real, jarring answer…

Russia’s Putin Lifts Ban on Charter Holidays to Turkey

Russian President Vladimir Putin has lifted curbs on tour firms selling holidays in Turkey, brought in after a Russian jet was downed last year.

The ban on charter flights hurt the tourist industry in Turkey, a favourite destination for many Russians.

The Kremlin accepted a letter from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as an apology this week.

The lifting of non-travel trade sanctions will depend on the outcome of the trade talks, the Russian leader said in his decree.

Mr Putin also condemned Tuesday’s gun and bomb attack on Istanbul’s Ataturk airport, one of the busiest in the world.

Mr Erdogan had expressed “regret” earlier this week to Mr Putin and to the family of the Russian pilot killed in the incident…

Geert Wilders: We Must Preserve Western Identity and Civilisation by Ending Muslim Mass Migration

Mr. Wilders has accused Western governments of being “dangerously blind” to the dangers of Islamisation, reeling off a list of recent terror attacks and calling for an end to Muslim migration. He said: “Western governments remain dangerously blind to the danger of Islamization. Islam is a religion of peace, they say but that is a lie. Look at what happened at Istanbul.

“Look at what happened in Orlando a few weeks ago. Look at what happened last March at Brussels airport and metro station, look at what happened at the Bataclan Theatre in Paris last November. Look at what happened in San Bernardino last December.

“The list is endless. And everything this list has in common is Islam”.

Idaho Sex Assault: Child Victim Trapped as Refugee Assailant Still Lives Next Door

The five-year-old girl victimized in a sex attack by Sudanese and Iraqi refugee boys in Twin Falls, Idaho, is too terrified to leave her home, partly because one of her attackers still lives next door, according to a civic volunteer who is working with the victim’s family.

On June 2, a 14-year-old Sudanese refugee in Idaho coached a 10-year-old Sudanese and a seven-year-old Iraqi boy as they cornered the child in the laundry room of Fawnbrooks Apartments, stripped her naked, touched her, and urinated in her mouth and on her clothes. The 14-year-old filmed the vicious attack until an elderly woman intervened.

The families have been served eviction notices, but the family of the Iraqi attacker haven’t left, according to one resident.

Twin Falls resident Julia Ruf testified before the city council Monday, revealing that the seven-year-old attacker continues to play with other children in the neighborhood while his victim is confined to her home:…

An Obama justice official has twice threatened outraged Americans discussing the crime and Obama’s secretive, Third World refugee resettlement programs that exclude all input from communities targeted for enrichment.

However, the arrival of migrants is strongly backed by local merchants and real-estate owners and also by employers such as the Chobani yogurt factory, which has hired many migrant workers in place of local Americans.

Migrants Bring Multi-Drug Resistant TB to Wisconsin

Two refugees and a foreign student on a visa brought multi-drug resistant (MDR) tuberculosis (TB) to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2009 and 2011, according to a 2014 article in an epidemiology publication written with the cooperation of the doctors who treated them.

The introduction of MDR TB to the United States represents a serious public health threat, since its successful treatment is uncertain and very expensive. Active TB can usually be treated successfully in six to nine months at a cost of $17,000 per patient, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), but MDR TB treatment costs more than $150,000 per patient and can take between 20 and 26 months.

Child Evangelism Fellowship Wins Major Victory in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, OH — In a major victory for equal access, Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) has won a three-year lawsuit against the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD). An Ohio federal district court has approved a Consent Order finding that CMSD violated CEF’s constitutional rights, requiring CMSD to change its facility use policies, and ordering CMSD to pay $150,000 in damages and attorney’s fees.

In 2013, Liberty Counsel filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of CEF, seeking equal access to CMSD’s public school facilities for CEF’s after-school, Christian character education Good News Clubs. CMSD was providing free after-school access to non-religious community groups, such as the Boy Scouts, but refused to treat CEF equally. Instead, CMSD imposed facility fees which CEF could not pay, resulting in the shutdown of the Good News Club.

Christina Hoff Sommers and Camille Paglia on Coddled Students and Fainting-Couch Feminists

The two legends of the culture wars, who have been battling campus feminism and political correctness together since the late 1980s, filmed an hour-long discussion for the American Enterprise Institute which was released last week. It’s a must-watch for anyone interested in the resurgence of political correctness, feminism, and the politics of victimhood. …

Sommers explained how an unholy alliance had formed between college administrators, radical students, and the state. “It’s a kind of axis of intolerance with deans and fanatical young feminists and the United States government, because the Department of Education has sent this directive to all the schools that they have to clamp down on harassers and so forth, and they’ve defined it so broadly that if you hear someone telling an off-colour joke, you can bring them up on charges of harassment… So we have this little reign of terror, this hyper-puritanism.”

“The bureaucrats have taken over the universities” said Paglia, although she also blamed “utter wimps” in faculties for not fighting back.

Restrooms at National Parks ‘Align’ With Gender Identity

Family Research Council: “Now women and girls will have to worry about sharing a restroom with biological males”

Visitors to national parks are free to use whichever public restroom they believe matches their gender identity, the Department of Interior says.

“As it relates to recently passed state laws relating to the transgender community, visitors to public lands and water sites are welcome to use restrooms that best align with their gender identity,” an Interior Department spokesperson told The Daily Signal in an email.

But a national policy expert says visitors to national parks should be concerned that others can enter the restroom of their choice regardless of their biological sex.

Skittles Candy Goes Black-and-White for Gay Pride

Skittles, the candy that’s mass marketed based in large part on its bright colors — with current tag lines of “experience the rainbow” and “taste the rainbow” — has gone temporarily colorless, saying in a series of public messages that gay pride, in all its rainbow glory, deserves to take front and center for a while.

The company went black-and-white for London’s recent gay pride parade, in order to show solidarity for the LGBT movement.

    SWEDEN A LA CARTE

“Unaccompanied child” was an adult with a university degree

    ANOTHER UNACCOMPANIED bluff
In May an Afghan site featured the 23-year-old Hayatullah who came to Sweden as one of countless so-called “unaccompanied minors”. Here he lied about his age to obtain the grandiose living conditions
of the minors.. When he finally realized that Sweden was not the paradise rumor alleges, he returned home again.

    – We Afghans think that Europe is a paradise, but it is simply not true, says Hayatullah in the story.

He had heard that Sweden was good for “refugees” and decided to try his luck. The plan was to get a permanent residence permit and then be able to work to support the family.

8000 $ it costed to be smuggled all the way to Sweden. Once in Greece, the trip went much easier northward because of Schengen.

When he reached Sweden, he saw that those under 18, or who claimed to be, got a much better deal. The 23-year-old said he was 17 and started school in the ninth grade.

But when he “turned 18” he was transferred to an accommodation for adults where life got sadder. He got “only” SEK1000 per month, the food was no longer good and the waiting time for a doctor was long. Moreover, it could take up to two years to obtain the permanent residence permit and even longer to get a job.

He then admitted to Swedish authorities that he actually was 23 and wanted to continue his education. Instead of sending him home, he was promised help to try to arrange this. But Hayatullah did not want to waste more time in Sweden and returned home with 3000 $ from the Swedish taxpayer in the pocket.

  2. “Don’t touch me wristbands”, certainly takes ‘big dumb Swedes’ to a whole new level!

  3. I can’t stand it. I think there is a song out there with that title. It’s a group I kind of like, despite my age, but I can’t remember who it is. The opening lyrics are “I can’st stand it, you’re fooling around I can’t stand it.” Yes, different vibe but I can’t stand it will do for me.

BUT I CAN’T STAND THIS […] ANYMORE! Enough already.

Start deporting Muslims NOW. We really can’t afford to allow all this rape, murder, and so on taking place in formerly civilized countries. What I don’t understand is why civilized countries put up with it! To [heck] with political correctness! Tell it like it is and get rid of them!

    Has nobody read Jean Raspail?
