Gates of Vienna News Feed 6/10/2016

Food riots and other civil disturbances are increasing in Venezuela as shortages of foodstuffs, medicines, and other consumer goods hit more and more citizens. A petition calling for the recall of President Nicolás Maduro has recently gained momentum.

In other news, police shot a man who attacked a woman with a rock and threatened police officers outside the baggage claim at a Dallas airport, in what was evidently an escalation of a domestic dispute.

Exclusive: Bilderberg Planning to Trigger Financial Collapse

Secretive group positioning itself to profit from upcoming economic meltdown

For the second time in the space of ten years, the powerful Bilderberg group is plotting to trigger a financial collapse, with elitists already positioning themselves to profit from the next economic meltdown.

As we reported back in 2006 during the Bilderberg Group’s meeting in Ottawa, Canada, leaked information from an American delegate revealed that insiders were preparing for the housing bubble to burst and a global market crash.

Over the course of the next two years, that exact scenario played out, culminating in the collapse of Lehman Brothers and a worldwide recession.

As the global financial picture begins to look increasingly bleak, with worries about a Chinese stock market collapse triggering a wider panic, Bilderberg is once again scheming to benefit from the fallout, while the “precariat,” those who are living paycheck to paycheck, are set to suffer the most.

According to veteran Bilderberg sleuth and former BBC journalist Tony Gosling, globalists at this year’s confab in Dresden, Germany are scheming to re-position their assets to ensure they exploit the coming market turmoil.

George Soros is Preparing for Economic Collapse — Does He Know Something That You Don’t?

What are we to make of all of this?

Why is George Soros selling stocks, buying gold and making “a series of big, bearish investments”?

If things stay relatively stable like they are right now, these moves will likely cost George Soros a tremendous amount of money. But if a major financial crisis is imminent, he stands to make obscene returns. So does George Soros know something that the rest of us do not? Could it be possible that he has spent too much time reading websites such as The Economic Collapse Blog? What are we to make of all of this?

The recent trading moves that Soros has made are so big and so bearish that they have even gotten the attention of the Wall Street Journal…

Continuity Preppers: FEMA, DHS in “Secret Orgy of Preparedness” At Secret Underground Mountain Bunker

While a growing community of individuals is set out to prepare for a collapse of society, and become known sometimes dismissively as “preppers,” the real preppers are in the highest levels of government, and they are ready to evacuate and continue the government even in the event of an all-out breakdown of society.

Not only is this secret continuity of government activity happening but it is accelerating rapidly. “They” are absolutely getting ready for something on a grand scale, and have invested billions of dollars allotted in secret to agencies for national security to create a hidden infrastructure for survival and subtlety.

The elite are increasingly investing in prepping contingencies — at both a personal and institutional level.

Desperate Republicans Float Prospect of Convention Coup to Overthrow Trump

Conservatives attempt to rally support behind Trump coup

Conservatives who still have reservations over supporting Donald Trump for their party’s nomination are floating the incredible improbability of a staged coup at the GOP convention in July. Numerous media outlets jumped on statements coming from Republicans following Trump’s comments pointing out the possible bias of a judge presiding over one of his business’s highly publicized court cases.

Over the weekend, Trump defended remarks regarding his Trump University case, which is being presided over by Judge Gonzalo Curiel, “a Mexican,” Trump says, who may oppose his border wall idea.

(That notion was later reinforced when Judge Curiel was revealed to be a member of the La Raza Lawyers of San Diego, as well as a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association — an organization which declared a boycott of all Trump businesses after he announced his presidential bid.)

Despite the fact Trump has surpassed the number of bound delegates necessary to win the nomination outright, some conservatives are now urging their fellow Republican party members to change the convention rules or vote their consciences at the RNC convention next month in Cleveland.

Federal Court Rules Against 2nd Amendment

Strikes down previous ruling upholding right to concealed carry

On Thursday a federal appeals court in California ruled the Second Amendment does not permit Americans to carry firearms in public.

The ruling upholds a California law that imposes strict rules on individuals who wish to exercise concealed carry. The California law requires applicants to demonstrate “good cause” for carrying a weapon.

The ruling strikes down previous decision. In 2014, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in Peruta v. County of San Diego that the right to carry a firearm is guaranteed by the Second Amendment.

“Based on the overwhelming consensus of historical sources, we conclude that the protection of the Second Amendment-whatever the scope of that protection may be-simply does not extend to the carrying of concealed firearms in public by members of the general public,” the ruling written by Judge William A. Fletcher declares.

A dissent by Circuit Judge Maria Callahan warns the ruling will have detrimental impact on the Constitution.

“Constitutional rights would become meaningless if states could obliterate them by enacting incrementally more burdensome restrictions while arguing that a reviewing court must evaluate each restriction by itself when determining its constitutionality,” Callahan wrote.

The decision establishes a precedent for future challenges to the right to concealed carry and will embolden efforts by the government to dilute and eventually render the Second Amendment meaningless.

Ben Shapiro, writing for the Daily Wire, argues “incrementalism is the explicit goal of the left. Of course Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will never say they want to ban all firearms. Instead, they’ll just destroy the right to bear arms piecemeal: they’ll say that you have no right to open carry, you have no right to concealed carry, and you have no right to have guns in the home.”

“This is how the Constitution is rendered meaningless: not in one giant full-frontal assault, but day by day, case by case. This is also why the Second Amendment matters. The government that can carve away your gun rights can carve away all the other ones, too,” he warns.

Food Stamp Outage Could Trigger Nationwide Riots

Obama admin. enrolling millions of illegals to overload EBT system?

The ongoing food stamp outage could trigger nationwide riots across the country similar to the recent unrest in Baltimore and Ferguson.

Thousands — if not millions — of food stamp recipients have not gotten their benefits nine days into the month due to “glitches” in the electronic benefit transfer (EBT) system, and Americans are worried that if the outage continues, mass civil unrest will erupt…

As we reported in 2013, the administration had a goal to dramatically increase food stamp enrollment in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

This corresponded with a strategy called pressure from above and below in which the government deliberately creates problems, then offer “solutions” that only expand government powers at the expense of individual rights.

The USDA in particular spent vast amounts of taxpayer money to encourage illegal immigrants to apply for food stamps through television and print ads.

The agency was even working with the Mexican government to “increase participation in SNAP,” the Daily Caller reported in 2012.

In other words, by enrolling more people into welfare than the EBT system can handle, outages will result, people will riot, and the government can then use the crisis to expand federal control over local police, something we’ve also been reporting on.

Police Shoot Man During Domestic Dispute Outside Dallas Airport

A Dallas police officer shot and injured a man seen attacking a woman outside an airport in Dallas, authorities said Friday afternoon.

Randall Blankenbaker, an assistant Dallas police chief, said the shooting took place at about noon Friday outside the baggage claim at Dallas Love Field.

Police believe the situation involved “a domestic disturbance between a lady and her children’s father,” Blankenbaker said during a news briefing.

Authorities believe the unidentified man was using rocks “to attack the lady,” and during this encounter an officer assigned to the airport “came to the aid of the lady and he was rushed by the gentleman with the rock,” Blankenbaker said.

The officer, who has also not been identified, fired “a number of times” after the man with the rock tried to rush him a second time, said Blankenbaker, who oversees the unit that investigates police-involved shootings.

After the shooting, the man’s condition was not immediately known, though police said he was conscious when he was taken to a local hospital. A spokesman for the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department said that one ambulance traveled to a hospital from the airport.

In a video posted on Instagram, multiple shots could be heard outside an airport as law enforcement officers are seen confronting someone outside an entrance to the facility:…

Senators Seek to Stop $2.5 Billion Taxpayer-Funded ObamaCare Bailout

Demand risk corridor program be kept budget neutral

A delegation of leading senators are seeking to stop the Obama administration from providing some health insurers with a $2.5 billion taxpayer-funded bailout under a provision in the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare, according to congressional communication exclusively obtained by theWashington Free Beacon.

The senators are petitioning their colleagues on key committees to ensure that U.S. taxpayers will not have to foot the bill for excess costs incurred by insurance companies selling low-cost coverage under the Obamacare program, according to the letter, which lambasts the healthcare program for burdening middle- and lower-class families.

The letter-sent Thursday to leaders on the Senate’s appropriations committee by Republican Sens. Marco Rubio (Fla.), Mike Lee (Utah), John Cornyn (Texas), John Barrasso (Wyo.), Cory Gardner (Colo.), David Vitter (La.), Jim Inhofe (Okla.), and Thom Tillis (N.C.)-centers around a contested Obamacare provision known as risk corridors.

This is a Usurper, Not a Candidate: California Primary Was Stolen, And Hillary’s “Nomination a Coup”

It’s lights out for democracy. No surprise for those who have been paying attention. But if this is your first time through it, this election has been totally rigged. From the start, it was clear that Hillary had been chosen and given a path. Possibly it was a concession forged back in 2008 in which she agreed to stand aside for Obama in exchange for “her turn.”

Antithetical to our deeply held democratic processes, the entire 2016 contest is and has been rigged so that one person’s quest for power can be satisfied. 2008 was an embarrassing stumble. 2016 is the last pageant she’s willing to go through, and she was determined to win. This time, the title is hers. Period.

Thus, the timing, carefully coordinating, of her “clenching” the nomination. On the eve of the California primary — where her fierce opponent Bernie Sanders was threatening to win — an announcement made in the mainstream news essentially pulled the rug out from under the primary by rendering it useless.

The theft of California through electronic voting fraud and other means is clear to anyone who was paying attention (though few were in the wake of her announcement).

UT Murder Suspect Indicted on Capital Murder in Haruka Weiser’s Death

A Travis County grand jury has indicted a 17-year-old on capital murder charges in the death of University of Texas freshman Haruka Weiser, found dead along Waller Creek in April in a case that shook the campus and made national headlines.

A two-page indictment accuses Meechaiel Khalil Criner of sexually assaulting Weiser immediately before her death and killing her by strangulation with “a ligature.” The American-Statesman reported those details in April.

Criner, because of his age at the time of Weiser’s death, is not eligible for the death penalty but faces life in prison if convicted. He had originally been charged with murder but the capital murder charge includes the other offenses he is alleged to have committed during the crime…

Ontario’s Electricity Fiasco is Going to Get Much, Much Worse

What explains the Ontario Liberal government’s $7 billion Climate Change Action Plan, which will infringe on people’s freedom, impose debilitating costs, set impossible targets and fail to produce meaningful reductions in GHG emissions? The only answer can be ideological fervour, divorced from economic or practical reality.

Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne is behaving like an environmental activist unburdened by accountability, rather than a government leader devoted to protecting the welfare of her constituents. She is abetted by her chief of staff, Andrew Bevan, a former executive director of the Canadian Boreal Forest Agreement Secretariat and Glen Murray, minister of the environment and climate change, whose grand schemes and unworkable ideas were rejected by Manitoba voters.

This doctrinal cabal’s latest crackpot plan was too much even for some members of the premier’s cabinet, sparking near open revolt by several of her economic ministers. Apparently, they advocated for a semblance of rationality in the mayhem that is Liberal energy policy.

This is not hyperbole. Bonnie Lysyk, the provincial auditor general, has set out the crushing burden of the government’s catastrophic blunders to date: $37 billion wasted on electricity above market price during the past eight years ($2,700 for each Ontario man, woman and child) with a further $132 billion to be racked up by 2032. Clearly, we are a peaceable kingdom, otherwise, a mob of outraged citizens would have by now gathered at Queen’s Park with pitchforks, demanding the immediate resignation of their failed nanny-state government.

Bilderberg Exposed: Infowars Reporters Detained by Police Top Story on Drudge

Bilderberg meeting now international news as MSM forced to cover event

The Bilderberg meeting is now international news after German police detained Infowars reporters covering the event, which became the top story on the Drudge Report.

The mainstream media has since been forced to cover the secret, annual meeting between global leaders they’ve spent years denying ever existed.

On June 8, Paul Joseph Watson reported he, Rob Dew and Josh Owens were detained by police in Dresden and individually searched in the middle of the street while returning to their hotel rooms after dinner.

“They tried to intimidate the press,” he said. “The search was pretty intensive; it lasted for about 45 minutes.”

Watson also said they were threatened with arrest if they continued to “cause trouble,” i.e. simply doing their jobs as journalists to cover the meeting from outside the event.

“The mainstream media won’t cover this, so we have to,” he pointed out. “We have to go through this every year just to shine a light on Bilderberg because the mainstream media refuses to do so.”…

Bilderberg members are primarily “technocrats” who believe government should be ran by “central planners” — such as scientists and tech leaders — as opposed to elected officials.

“[It] is a process of regulatory management and does not refer to representative government, as it is commonly understood,” Bilderberg expert Patrick M. Wood wrote in his book Technocracy Rising. “The regulators are unelected ‘experts’ who answer to no one, as is the case with the European Union, for instance.”

Bilderberg 2016 Elites Fear Brexit Would Reverse 70 Years of Atlanticism

Trying to save globalism from Brexit.

Conspiracy theorists claim the Bilderberg Group is a cabal of 130 of the world’s most powerful public and private crony leaders plotting for global domination, but this year’s meeting is all about leaders trying to save globalism from Brexit…

The hottest topic at this year’s Bilderberg conference will be the June 23 Brexit referendum, where voters can demand the U.K. quit the EU’s Euro-government. Stratfor Global Intelligence traces the roots of the crisis to the Bilderberg supported 2004 enlargement of the EU, and the ensuing wave of Polish migration to the United Kingdom.

Despite European open-border mandates, the accelerating immigration crisis across the EU has forced national political leaders to appease their citizens by re-erecting border controls that restrict the flow of low-wage workers and foreign refugees across their territory.

To the dismay of the Bilderbergs after 70 years of trying to suppress nation states, Stratfor argues that the ascendant forces within Europe are national and that is forcing countries to put their own interests first:

Exclusive: Bilderberg Member Confronted, Says Secrecy of Meetings is Essential

Stanislav Tillich violates shadowy group’s insistence on secrecy with shock comments

Bilderberg member Stanislav Tillich may have put his future attendance of the clandestine confab in jeopardy after breaking the shadowy group’s insistence on secrecy and admitting to reporters that the organization is basically a powerful lobbying group…

He then lauded the group’s controversial penchant for secrecy, commenting, “I personally like the opportunity to discuss some things without the public ear listening, which is also what they do at companies when they are deciding on new strategies or politicians who work at new laws (who) have interest in secrecy as well.”

“The same thing goes for these people at Bilderberg who want to speak about certain topics on their own,” added Tillich, claiming that no decisions are made during the meeting.

However, as Bilderberg member Will Hutton once admitted, “The consensus established is the backdrop against which policy is made worldwide.”

Caroline Glick: Israel Rises in the East

There was something poetic about the events that bookended the past week of diplomacy. This week began with French President Francois Hollande’s “peace” conference and ended with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s state visit to Moscow.

From the perspective of both substance and style, the contrast between the two events couldn’t have been more striking.

France hosted yet another anti-Israel diplomatic pile-on. Holland had hoped to show that France was stepping into the void left by the US’s abandonment of its position as world leader. But all the confab served to do was show how irrational and self-destructive France — and Western Europe — has become.

Neither Israeli nor Palestinian representatives were present at the conference which aimed to dictate Israel’s final borders. Their absence gave made the event seem like a throwback to the era of European colonialism. It was as if Hollande wanted to reenact France’s glory days in Syria and Algeria…

‘UN Uses the Murder of Innocent Israelis to Attack Israel’

Israel has slammed the United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) for “using the murder of Israelis to attack Israel,” accusing it of “cynicism and double standards” in its response to Wednesday night’s deadly Palestinian terrorist attack in Tel Aviv.

In a message given during a press briefing earlier Friday, United Nations rights chief Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein’s office issued a mild condemnation of the attack itself, but then went on to say that he was “deeply concerned” by Israel’s response.

The Jewish state’s reaction “includes measures that may amount to prohibited collective punishment and will only increase the sense of injustice and frustration felt by Palestinians in this very tense time[…]

[And the Palestinian terrorists weren’t using “prohibited collective punishment” of course, “killing the kuffar wherever you find them” is what Islam/UNHRC does of course]

Venezuela Takes First Step Toward Recall Referendum of Nicolás Maduro

Elections council will begin validating signatures of citizens seeking a recall referendum of the president, who faces heavy criticism due to a steep recession

Adversaries of the ruling Socialist party say the election authority is seeking to stall the referendum against Maduro, who is facing heavy criticism due to a steep recession, the world’s highest inflation and Soviet-like product shortages.

The elections council next week will allow citizens who wish to withdraw their names from a list of 1.4 million valid signatures to do so, elections chief Tibisay Lucena said in a news conference on Friday.

The following week, voters who want to leave their names on the list will have to return to have their fingerprints double-checked by elections authorities.

This stage of the process involves collecting signatures from 1% of the electoral registry.

But the elections council will still have 20 working days to determine if the opposition will move to the next stage of seeking the recall, which consists of collecting signatures from 20% of the voter registry.

Opposition leaders have accused the electoral authority of repeatedly changing criteria needed to trigger a recall and adding unnecessary obstacles to slow a referendum that Maduro would likely lose.

Maduro insists the opposition does not actually want a referendum, but rather are seeking a coup.

The elections council invalidated nearly 605,000 signatures, almost half of which were due to errors in filling out forms and 11,000 because the signatures corresponded to deceased citizens.

Two-time presidential candidate Henrique Capriles, the most visible face of the recall campaign, said his signature was arbitrarily rejected along with that of other opposition leaders.

“On what grounds does Ms Lucena reject my signature?” asked Capriles in response…

‘We Are Like a Bomb’: Food Riots Show Venezuela Crisis Has Gone Beyond Politics

Three years of shortages have left Venezuelans desperate and angry for change, posing the most serious threat yet to President Nicolás Maduro

The rumour was there would be chicken.

Word had spread that a delivery of poultry meat was due at the Central Madeirense supermarket, and long before dawn a queue of shoppers was snaking around the block.

Kattya Alonzo was one of them. The 48-year-old mother of three was already planning to make the traditional chicken and rice dish arroz con pollo — if she could also find some rice.

“I haven’t been able to buy chicken in more than a month, so I was there early at about 4am,” she said.

At about 6.30, two trucks finally drew up outside the store, but before the drivers could start to unload, national guardsmen told them to drive on.

Perhaps it was not surprising that the mood outside the supermarket quickly turned ugly: frustration turned to despair, anger to violence. Before long, the incident on Tuesday had escalated.

Mobs tried to loot several bakeries and delis and another food delivery truck.

The unrest soon spread throughout this city of 200,000 just outside the capital, Caracas. Protesters shouted “We want food” as they blocked intersections with burning tyres and clashed with security forces.

Police and the national guard quickly controlled the outburst, with some 14 people reportedly arrested, and at least one person was injured, according to witnesses.

But spontaneous outbursts such as the one in Guarenas may present a more serious challenge to Maduro’s rule than any efforts by his political rivals…

Generation Snowflake: Safe Spaces, Trigger Warnings and the Wussification of Our Young People

Have we raised an entire generation that has been so coddled and that is so spineless that it is completely incapable of dealing with the harsh realities of the modern world?

Why do so many of our young people instantly break down in tears the moment anything seriously offends them?

Have we raised an entire generation that has been so coddled and that is so spineless that it is completely incapable of dealing with the harsh realities of the modern world? At colleges and universities all over America, students are now demanding “safe spaces” where anything and everything that could possibly make them feel “uncomfortable” is banned. And “trigger warnings” are being placed on some of our great literary classics because they might cause some students to feel “unsafe” because they may be reminded of a past trauma. In this day and age, our overly coddled young people have come to expect that they should be automatically shielded from anything that could remotely be considered harmful or offensive, and as a result we now have an entire generation that is completely lacking in toughness. That may be fine as long as you can depend on Mom and Dad, but how in the world are these young men and women going to handle the difficult challenges that come with living in the real world?

Author Claire Fox has a great deal of experience dealing with these overly sensitive young people, and she has dubbed them “Generation Snowflake”…

[Comment: “We” didn’t raise them — that’s the problem — the communist indoctrination centres called schools and universities “rasied” them and programmed them.]

Tens of Millions of Twitter Accounts Leaked on the Dark Web

Although Twitter itself likely wasn’t hacked

Tens of millions of Twitter passwords are being traded on the dark web, according to the hacked information database Leaked Source.

The group said it uncovered 32,888,300 Twitter records online, each of which “may contain an email address, a username, sometimes a second email and a visible password.”

But Twitter itself likely wasn’t hacked, Leaked Source said. Instead, consumers were likely infected by a certain kind of malware that sent saved usernames and passwords from browsers like Chrome and Firefox back to the hackers.

Meanwhile, Today’s News writes that Mona has tax debts of around SEK 200,000 submitted to the Enforcement Service for collection.

Prosecution Director Karin Rosander told TT that the prosecutor Anders Jakobsson at special Prosecution Office has launched a preliminary investigation of misrepresentation or alternatively grossly misrepresentation, but that there is no reasonable suspicion in the current situation.

The government should have informed the police running the case and shortly after it was announced yesterday that she was dismissed from her most lucrative assignments as so-called national coordinator against extremism.

Mona Sahlin was appointed in July 2014 as National Coordinator to safeguard democracy against violent extremism. A mission that raised questions because Mona was a member of Expo’s Board – which was a foundation that was founded by renowned left-wing extremists with violent pasts.

Both the mortgage fiddling good friend and Mona now risk jail for the use of false records or misrepresentation. Because the crime of Mona’s include abuse of office it is designated as heavy and she therefore risks imprisonment for up to two years under the provisions of the Penal Code.

  2. Watch for Red/green’s wailing, beseeching calls “for something to be done to help” aka refugee status for starving Venezuelans. Watch Uniparty banter and caw, shuck and jive as the coyotes and human traffickers cashing Treasury checks row ’em ashore. Rojo-Verde play long ball.

    • Venezuelans have been arriving (legally) to the USA since the Chavez Debacle began and there is a large Exile Community in some US Cities, most of them would go back to their homeland once the whole thing is settled and life in Venezuela is once again decent, others went throught the arduous process of obtaining US Citizenship by the regular legal means and tend to vote to the right due to their experiences… However, if US Leftists begin calling in to accept “Venezuelan Refugees” I am afraid that the ones that would answer the call are not the few hard-working types left in that country.

As much as Americans don’t want a quagmire now, the only solution I see from neighboring Colombia is US Boots in the place, Heavy Bombardment of certain zones of Caracas as a prelude to a full ground offensive… the Regime won’t go down peacefully, and will only prolong a disaster that if someone doesn’t act soon, will engulf the hemisphere…

      • Yes, that’ll help. Sometimes I see that Michael Moore (excuse the expression) has a point.
