The Sixty-Cent Dinner

Ah, if only there were still a sixty-cent dinner!

We just concluded our week-long Summer Fundraiser, and fortunately for us, our faithful readers unpocketed themselves of their resources with enough generosity to cover these inflationary times. Dinners (and web hosting) may cost more nowadays, but we should be able to get by for another quarter, thanks to y’all.

Here’s the roster of locations for this fundraiser’s donors:

Stateside: Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia

Near Abroad: Canada and Mexico

Far Abroad: Australia, Croatia, Germany, India, Israel, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Slovakia, Sweden, Thailand, and the UK

Many thanks to everyone who was willing to share their resources with us. You’ll hear from us again after the leaves change color, but before the bare ruined choirs appear…

  2. Tommie-

Some of those you name give in the interim times between the fundraiders while others we’ve never seen. This was our first bleg where Mexico showed up. BTW, you missed South America. We used to have a regular donor from there but I said something that annoyed him…ah well,he’ll have to get in line.

I know we heard from Ireland and Iowa, but I don’t handle the actual emails from paypal so they may have addresses in other places. For example, we had a donor for a long time who was from Ireland but lived in Germany for work so I’d designate him from Ireland since that’s where he’d rather be… We have Carolina donors, too, but they don’t seem to come for every quarter. OTOH, many places you name are not Anglo-speakers. Like Mississippi…(joke, y’all, joke).

The old days saw lots of Danes, but not so much now…it’s human nature to be drawn to the places that talk about your problems…in which case, Norway donors should be…oh, never mind – we have their expats.

You’re right though:where was Vatican City?
