Bill Warner on the Arrest of Paul Weston

Dr. Bill Warner of the Center for the Study of Political Islam discusses the recent arrest of Paul Weston for quoting Winston Churchill. He suggests how Counterjihad-minded people can use Mr. Weston’s example to be more effective in their efforts.

  1. Notice that the Churchill quote has been
bowdlerized, or at least dumbed down, to
    reach a wider, vocabulary-challenged
audience. Something is lost in the translation
when “members” is substituted for “votaries”,
which has richer connotations. A votary is
“a person bound by a vow or promise, esp.
one bound to religious vows”. This word
comes from the Latin _votus_, which is
the past participle of _vovere_, to vow.
It is related to the words “vote” and “devoted”.

The idea of mass civil disobedience is a
worthy one, but without the “mass”, it
will peter out. Perhaps you will remember
Molly Norris, the Seattle cartoonist who was
    disappeared after proposing
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everybody_Draw_Mohammed_Day :
“Norris has since changed her name
    and gone into hiding.”

Another type of mass civil disobedience
is of a quite different character.
    The legislatures of Connecticut and
    New York unilaterally caused mass
civil disobedience by defining as felons
anyone who fails to comply with pre-
    confiscation gun registration.
This move has greatly increased the
population of felons at large in those states.
    — Mark Spahn (West Seneca, NY)

    • Ah yes, I remember Molly Norris well. We wrote about her unfortunate situation – self-induced, but still unfortunate – back then. The Baron, out of curiosity, spent some time skimming through the intertubes, picking up enough pieces of information about Miz Molly to make an almost complete person:

      http://gatesofvienna.blogspot.com/2010/09/elusive-molly-norris.html

Not a felon, of course, but an outlaw nonetheless. She learned after the fact the wisdom of a nic and an avatar. In a few email exchanges with her, she said an FBI person told her to disappear for her own safety. It seemed she had neither kith nor kin to encumber her journey into namelessness, which seemed the saddest part of her story.

    • Just to add that the original version contains reference to queen Victoria not faith

Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen; all know how to die; but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith.

    • Hello mr Richard Cranium,
some of us have been on the ground for years mate. My first demo was the Geert Wilders EDL demo back in 2010. I’ve been on a few more since and filmed an interveiw of Tommy Robinson with VladTepes blog dot com, on the streets of luton no less.
Some of us refuse to go out without a whimper.

  2. Thank you for your clear words, Mr. Warner. Let’s all stand up and DO something. Let’s all say: “I’m going to do a Paul Weston and read from Churchill’s book.” Call this public education. Churchill must never be forgotten.

    Get out there. NOW!

  3. Winston Churchill, wrote in 1899:

“The religion of Islam above all others was founded upon the sword … Moreover it provides incentives to slaughter, and in three continents has produced fighting breeds of men – filled with a wild and merciless fanaticism”.

    • And then there is this one:

      Winston Churchill 14 June 1921:

‘The Wahabis profess a life of exceeding austerity, and what they practice themselves they rigorously enforce on others. They hold it as an article of duty, as well as of faith, to kill all who do not share their opinions and to make slaves of their wives and children. Women have been put to death in Wahabi villages for simply appearing in the streets. It is a penal offense to wear a silk garment. Men have been killed for smoking a cigarette, and as for alcohol, the most energetic supporter of the temperance cause in this country falls far behind them. Austere, intolerant, well armed, and bloodthirsty, in their own regions the Wahabis are a distinct factor which must be taken into account, and they have been, and still are, very dangerous to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, and to the whole institution of the pilgrimage, in which our Indian fellow-subjects are so deeply concerned….The Emir Bin Saud has shown himself capable of leading and, within considerable limits, of controlling these formidable sectaries.’

      • Nothing has changed, leave Riyadh and go into the ‘desertside’ and people still live in mud huts and will kill if provoked.

Men do not wear shorts, and preferably have long sleeves, no smoking, and nothing that even looks like booze. The intolerance is amazing. One does not see women, even in ‘ninja suits’ (abahyas).

One even has to be selective about motorway stops. Everything is filthy and the toilets are a mess.

        • Blimey MC, you speaking from experience?

I’d like to see your encore. Sticking your head in a lion’s mouth, perhaps? I know you were in the military, but don’t push your luck!

  4. Interesting Daily Telegraph on-line article about Paul Weston’s arrest plus many comments.

  5. Right on Bill Warner! 500 copies of your booklet “Sharia For Non-Muslims” is being sent to every federally elected politician in Canada along with Steve Emerson’s DVD “The Grand Deception”. Included is a list of the best web sites where they can do their own research to validate what has been sent. The same might be done with the three most famous of Churchill’s quotes regarding Islam. Postage to your member of Parliament in Canada is free and their postal addresses are on the internet so there’s no excuse. Keep on.

  6. That excerpt from Churchill is one big non causa pro causa fallacy. It’s not unlike blaming “cannabilism” for why Bassongos act like Bassongos. As if if Muslims would only convert to atheism or Christianity, all untoward customs and behaviour would disappear.
