Ten Thousand to One

Today is the twelfth anniversary of the 9-11 terror attacks. It was also supposed to be the day that a million Muslims marched on our nation’s capital to protest hatred, discrimination, and all the unfair treatment of Muslims that followed in the wake of the events of that awful day in 2001.

The protest, organized by the American Muslim Political Action Committee (AMPAC), seems to have fallen somewhat short of its sponsors’ projections. When the Muslims and their supporters finally converged on the Mall this afternoon, only several dozen, perhaps no more than twenty-five, were in attendance.

A counter-protest by patriotic American motorcycle enthusiasts did somewhat better. Billed as the “2 Million Bikers to DC”, motorcycle riders from all over the country converged on Washington this morning. They fell somewhat short of the two million mark — estimates gave the number as about 800,000, despite the refusal of the authorities to grant them a permit — but they came a lot closer to their predictions than their counterparts in “Americans Against Fear”.

Being generous to the Muslims, let’s say that fifty showed up. And if we lowball the number of bikers, we could put their turnout at half a million. That’s ten thousand times as many Harley enthusiasts as Mohammed enthusiasts.

A ratio of 10,000:1. Not bad at all.

Below is a video taken this morning looking from the Garrisonville Road overpass over I-95 in Stafford, Virginia. You can see the Harleys cross over the bridge in an orderly fashion, led by a State Police escort, and then proceed around the cloverleaf onto the interstate, heading north to D.C. I know the area fairly well, and for the life of me I can’t figure out where they mustered from. Did they book an entire Holiday Inn? Or fill up a KOA campground somewhere?

Anyway, watch these inspiring American patriots roar by the camera on their way to Washington D.C.:

Below is an article from The Washington Times about the day’s events:

‘2 Million Bikers’ Roar Into D.C. To Honor 9/11, Protest Muslim Rally

Thousands of bikers from around the country roared into the D.C. area on Wednesday in a show of support for Sept. 11 victims and in solidarity against a controversial Muslim rally on the Mall.

The 2 Million Bikers to DC ride might have fallen short of 2 million strong, but the numbers were impressive. A line of shining chrome and steel bikes stretched about a third of a mile from the starting point at the Harley Davidson of Washington store just outside the District in Prince George’s County.

The bikers began departing from the store at about 10:30 in staggered groups of 50, stopped for traffic lights and taking an hour or so to get on the road.

The ride was complicated by the fact that federal and local authorities denied a permit that would have offered the riders a police escort through traffic — a sore spot with organizers who thought the denial was for political purposes.

“We’re here for 9-11,” said national ride coordinator Belinda Bee. “We are going to have a peaceful ride. … But there are people who are sick and tired of their rights and liberties being taken away.”

The National Park Service has denied any political motivation for refusing the permit, which ride organizers sought last month. The Park Service earlier this year granted a permit to a Muslim group planning a rally Wednesday to call attention to social justice issues.

The American Muslim Political Action Committee has scheduled a rally to draw attention to what they call unfair fear of Muslims after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Ms. Bee said the ride was originally set up to counter the rally and show respect for the victims of that day.

Dan O’Brien, 54, of Mansfield, Ohio, said he had been “looking for a ride like this” to honor the Sept. 11 victims, but the rally also spurred him to join.

“This is very disgraceful,” he said. “They picked a day precious to the United States and its citizens.”

This report from WorldNet Daily has the best photos I’ve seen of the bikers in D.C.:

‘2 Million Bikers’ roar over Muslims in D.C.

WASHINGTON – It was originally billed as “The Million Muslim March,” though organizers later revised it to the “Million American March Against Fear.”

But at noon Wednesday in the nation’s capital, there weren’t a million Muslims or Americans to be found anywhere – not even close.

In fact, a WND-TV news crew on the scene, preparing to provide live coverage of the event in a webcast, was unable to locate any of the marchers who were supposed to go from the National Mall to the Supreme Court and the White House.

The Weekly Standard had reported on Tuesday that police were expecting “the size of the March will be somewhere in the hundreds, not thousands, of participants.”

Mark Segraves of the NBC affiliate in Washington reported that only “about 25 people,” including activist Cornel West, were at the Muslim march as of 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, with a group of Christians about the same size nearby.

However, the counterprotest by bikers was in evidence everywhere.

Driving in from Canada and all over the United States, the bikers, who were denied a permit for their demonstration, were flooding the capital.

At approximately 1 p.m., “2 Million Bikers to DC” Facebook page co-founder Belinda Bee posted that police have counted nearly one million bikers are on the streets of Washington.

The name of the “Million Muslim March” was changed to the “Million American March Against Fear” because organizers said the original name proved too “scary.”

In fact, The American Muslim Political Action Committee was criticized for scheduling the march on the anniversary of 9/11.

But, organizers insist the name was changed because, “Many non-Muslim Americans are terrified of Muslims, who are portrayed by Hollywood and the US media as fanatical terrorists.”

AMPAC also claims, “Muslims, too, live in fear – of being dragged off in the night to Guantanamo and tortured, simply for the crime of being Muslim in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Organizers refused to change the date of the march, so significant to Americans because of the terrorist attacks by fanatical Muslims 12 years ago, because, “September 11th, 2001 was the beginning of a new era of fear. Since 9/11, Americans have been terrorized by the media.”

“They have been taught to fear their neighbors. They have been inculcated with fear of other religions. They have been brainwashed into fearing people with brown skins, turbans, and foreign accents,” claims AMPAC.

There is a major difference in the Facebook pages for the two 9/11 events.

The Million American March Against Fear page has a paltry 295 Facebook likes, and has not posted any photos of their rally as of 2 p.m.

But on the 2 Million Bikers to DC Facebook page, there are 196,000 likes, and many photos of the bikers rolling into the nation’s capital.

  1. Go to “2 Millions Bikers to DC” on Facebook for a taste of the excitement (since the LSM won’t cover it).

    • Please leave a link – and a snip from the page would be good.

We don’t use Face Book. Someone in OZ is the admin for GoV on F B and we’re glad or there wouldn’t be one…just no time.

Notice the other biker post below this was from Britain’s FB page, announcing their solidarity. A Brit sent it in with a great picture I ended up not being able to post

  2. What a fantastic event! And do you know how much coverage the Washington Post had on it? Would you believe a total blackout, except for one snotty column in the online edition?

  3. Christians held a nationwide “March for Jesus” in NZ in 1990. Many tens of thousands of people, it was the biggest coordinated march in our country’s history. That didn’t merit the 6 o’clock news on any station either. Its funny being invisible – although as a motorcyclist you have to get used to it or get killed. We just wanted people to know Jesus was real, obviously we were a “whole bunch” of reactionary bigotted nutters who had to be silenced…

Funny too how real people with a real grasp on real issues turn up in real numbers and the wishful thinkers against the “evils of Islamophobia” (Ooh! scarey face!) can’t (chuckle), can’t attract (chortle) , can’t attract (bwahahaa!) 3 dozen people.

Yet these few very odd people seem to be running things in the West these days…

  4. “The American Muslim Political Action Committee has scheduled a rally to draw attention to what they call unfair fear of Muslims.”

How can fear be unfair ?

    • ” unfair fear of Muslims ”
Ah let me see. I have fear of scorpions because it stung me for no reason. So I am and in the future I always will have a fair amount of scorpions because they proved to me by their actions that they are treacherous.

  5. This report says that the D.C. police estimated there were 1 million bikers.

    http://www.barenakedislam.com/2013/09/11/d-c-police-estimate-over-1-million-bikers-roar-into-washington-d-c-hardly-a-muslim-in-sight/

That is amazing if true. I’ve never heard of one of these 1-million-x protests ever reaching 1 million. I hope that in the years to come, the US will see 10 million people protesting.

I’m sick of having the leaders of countries go on national television, and omit the part of koran 5:32 which justifies killing – they deliberately misquote the verse, omitting that part. It’s like quoting the commandment “thou shalt not kill”, and claiming it says “thou shalt kill”. That’s how blatant their lies are. How can we trust any of the media about anything, when they never even challenge our “leaders” on this deliberate lie?

If the clergy of the world had any spine, they would go on TV and object to this deliberate lie about islam.

    end

The denial was for political purposes. The cross-party elite which upholds the “international system” is counting on their Muslim clients to legitimize their oligarchy.
