We Lost the Cold War

Diana West’s new book, American Betrayal: The Secret Assault on Our Nation’s Character, has just been released. Dymphna is reading it on Kindle, and she says it is a compelling (and dismaying) indictment of the U.S. government policy since the 1930s.

  1. That is a big can of political worms Diana has opened, if this becomes common knowledge in Europe and Europeans join the multikulti and anti-nationalist dots in U.S. foreign policy it will ignite an anti-American firestorm across Europe.

  2. God bless and keep Diana West. Sen. Joe McCarthy was right. Communists occupied Washington in the 1930s and now Muslims are taking the reins. Individual conservative Christians on most websites, or defenders of the West in steet demonstrations, can see for themselves leftist lying, mockery, obfuscation, and outright thuggish physical attacks etc that happen when you try to speak the truth.

  4. This article in 1938 by Garet Garrett complements Diana’s book. It shows how the New Deal was actually a revolution to subvert the American experiment. The revolution was carried on within the bounds of our Constitution and rule of law while destroying the same. It is a must read at http://www.mises.org/daily/2726

  5. Actually we did win the cold war. Losing it means USA would be like Albania in a blink. The point is, at the end of the war the winner is just a weeny bit less broke than the loser. Better win though. What we see now is that we are amazed to see that the victory was not with all the perks we imagined. We had it good. Now back to work.

    BTW, Russia has it right, Germany, France and USA has it wrong with Islam. These latter three guys think that Islam will do their bid in shattering Russia and China for them to reap. Then muslims will know their humble place. Just ain’t so. Look at the Chechen bastard. Anybody in USA told it as it is? America was on the side of these bastards, this is what America got in exchange. Same with Albanians, Hysen Sherifi and the like.

  6. I haven’t seen evidence that Germany, France, and the USA “think Islam will do their bidding in shattering Russia and China for them to reap”. On the contrary, there is much more evidence, I think, that Russia and China have and still are providing Islamic tyrant nations with modern weapons technology, apparently believing they can use Islam against America and the West.

    One reason that medieval Christian crusaders failed to keep the holy land that they had liberated from Islam (who had first conquered this Christian territory in the 7th century in unprovoked bloody aggression, similar to their ongoing jihad today), is that they squabbled amongst themselves and foolishly formed separate alliances with Muslims against fellow non-Muslims. This was disasterous, wicked folly back then, and remains so today.

    I have already acknowledged that the foul leftist, Bill Clinton, very wrongfully bombed Russia’s cousins, the Serbs, in 1999AD. I apologize to Russian and Serbian Christians for the evil deeds of this wrongdoer. But please don’t think to ‘get even’ by assisting Muslim Iran with missiles, nuclear technology, etc. China has a few problems with Uighur Muslims, and Russia definitely has larger problems with a large Muslim population within its borders. We non-Muslims should work together against our common foe.

    • It’s not like you are very very informed. For USA, take Kosovo and Chechenia. USA almost recognized the independence of Chechenia few years ago, and has recognized the independence of Kosovo. It’s useless to debate and argue, as I have much, much better to do.

      Germany is paying for the islamic revival in the Balkans, especially in Macedonia, where they finance a few state universities for Albanians.
