The Brazilian Jihad

We’re accustomed to hearing about jihad warriors in France, Britain, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, Canada, and the USA. But almost every country in the world that has at least a handful of Muslim immigrants also has cells of mujahideen, fierce young men who immerse themselves in Salafist ideology, travel abroad for weapons training, and prepare themselves for jihad in Afghanistan, Syria, Somalia, or Mali.

The following manifesto was reproduced in De Olho Na Jihad. It is the opinion of the Islamist blog Resistência Islâmica do Brasil concerning the attacks in Woolwich and France.

Many thanks to Hermes for the translation:

We will go and fight…

‘We swear by almighty Allah that we will not stop fighting them. The only reason why we do this is because Muslims die every day. That with the British soldier was an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.

What happens in the world is a war, a war against Islam. Countries like the USA, Germany and France started a new crusade. This crusade against Islam seeks to destroy our culture; centuries ago the crusaders sought to conquer Jerusalem; in this century they seek to conquer our petroleum, our lands, our families.

From Saladeen to Bin Laden, every Muslim is a warrior who fights daily to win over his desires, to defeat his demons in order to be able to take weapons. How many Muslim women cry for their dead husbands, how many children wait for the father who never arrives, how many mothers bury their children?

What those warriors in England and France did, that showed that we will not run away, we will remain and fight. We will stand daring and brave, ready to die, willing to die for our Lord, for our Ummah, for our brothers. Yes we will win, inshallah, the victory will be His.

  1. Yep, when I was in Brazil a few years ago, on the street was someone in a t-shirt, with almost the same logo as the above… but with the original “Lebanon… Hezbollah” writing, and Arabic script like in the Hezbollah logo. Also, in a state government building in the Amazon region, was an exhibition of “Iranian culture”… also I remember restaurants offering Iranian food.

Then again, it’s a place that has raised a lot of money for Hezbollah, and that bin Laden himself was suspected of once visiting. Is “cultural enrichment” in Brazil only a matter of time? I hope and pray that’s not the case. Brazil is a unique country, where one rarely hears European or US music or even eats European fruit, or fish. It has a laid-back attitude coupled with fervent Christianity, as well as beautiful women unspoilt by Western greed or decadence, and perhaps also Western-style arrogance needed to deter sexual predators of a certain “peaceful” religion. South America has also long served as a “refuge” to endangered Europeans – even if they included Nazis alongside the refugees from the Spanish civil war and other conflicts.

At a time when certain Europeans may once again be in need of a place of refuge, it would be a tragedy if the nature of the place should be sacrificed on the altar of political correctness and cultural enrichment.
