It’s a large crowd scene, peaceful and calm. Looks like the weather is sunny, and warmer than it is here (55F/13C, cloudy).
An English Defence League demonstration is currently underway in Newcastle. This report just came in from an EDL source:
Newcastle is a massive success; everyone is buzzing that the numbers are 5,000+ in attendance. The EDL are back!
From the pics it looks like it has been very peaceful.
Also:
Three people were arrested on their way to the demo; there is no news so far on any arrests at the demo itself.

I just looked at the CNN site regarding this march. It reports only a few thousand marchers. It reports that “one” of the attackers had ties to Islamic groups. Nothing about the attackers shouting “Allahu Akbar” or about the attackers referencing the Koran. And it quotes Muslim groups/individuals who talk about the “backlash” incidents. etc. Disgusting.
If only as much attention has been given to English being attacked in their own country. Back in 1998 Amer Mirza attempted to petrol-bomb British army barracks. Nine years later Muslim men were found guilty of plotting to take a soldier to a lock-up garage and cut off his head “like a pig.” They wanted to film this act on camera and send it around the world to cause maximum terror. Then al Muhajiroun protested at a homecoming parade in Luton for British troops returning from Afghanistan, carrying banners saying “go to hell,” “butchers” and “terrorists.” British police protected them from justifiably angry British people. All I’ve read thus far is how everything is fine, Muslims are wonderful, and how unfortunate it is that Englishmen seem to have had enough.

There has been total silence on the BBC about those other two possibly related incidents to the Woolwich massacre, the fire on board the Oslo-bound aircraft and the need for an incoming PIA flight to be escorted by fighter aircraft and steered away from London because of a fracas on board. Even if they are related the BBC do not want to make the connection. I just want to wake up, find it is 1955, Churchill has succeeded in his policy to keep Britain white and the whole nightmare of the intervening 58 years has been just that. God bless Little England may you sleep sweetly in your grave bedecked by English roses in a rural idyll that will last for all eternity whilst your cities and ultimately the whole countryside turn into the hell that is 21st century London.

I’ve been trying to hear Tommy on the Youtube videos, nothing is wrong with my audio, other Youtubes are audible, but Tommy has been put on universal mute, at least as far as I can tell. I’ve tried to hear his Woolrich talk on about a half dozen Youtube channels, no luck. Anybody else having this problem? Have the British security services “silenced” Tommy on Youtube? Is there a transcript?

Using the assumptions that the procession is about 10 people wide, takes about 5 minutes to pass the camera and is moving at 2 miles an hour (all of which can be shown to be reasonable from the video footage), then I calculate that there were about 8,000 people on the march.
However, the BBC are trying to make out that only about 1,500 people attended:

This proves that the BBC are engaging in deliberate factual inaccuracies in order to play down the support for the EDL.
where did you get the 7000 estimate from the police from?
BBC reported that it was the police that told them the estimated numbers of 1500 ??

A MAN has been arrested following a stabbing this afternoon around 300m from the spot where Drummer Lee Rigby was murdered.
Emergency services were called to Wellington Street at 3.53pm today and found a man suffering from stab wounds to his chest and arm.
The stabbing victim’s injuries are not life threatening and he has been taken to a south London hospital for treatment.
Detectives have now confirmed a man has been arrested in connection with the assault and he is in custody at a south London police station.
It is thought there is no link to Drummer Rigby’s murder nor with the English Defence League activity in the area.
UN F’n believable! A second stabbing near the Rigby slaughter is immediately dismissed as not related to terror or Muslims or Islam. . .but hey, the EDL were in the area, wink, wink.
