Sharia Returns to al-Andalus

Morocco recently demanded that Moroccan children adopted by Spanish families — even the tiniest babies — must be raised as Muslims until they reach their majority. Amazingly enough, the Spanish government is poised to accede to this demand.

Many thanks to our Spanish correspondent Hermes for translating an article on the topic published earlier this month by Intereconomía:

Sharia law soon to be part of Spanish legislation

The Spanish government will allow Moroccan religious authorities to have control over children until the age of eighteen in order to make sure that they do not convert to Christianity.

The name “Sharia” is applied to the set of rules which govern the life of Muslims. The Islamic states are adopting it as their own legislation. Even countries in the Islamic world which are not Islamic states are adopting it partially.

In our case it is about the issue of adoption. It appeared in the press some days ago: it seems that many Spanish couples want to adopt children from abroad. It seems that there are not enough children here.

The issue is that since the Islamists came to power in January 2012, Moroccan authorities demand that Moroccan children being adopted by Spanish families remain culturally and religiously Muslim. In addition to this, the Spanish government must take the responsibility for controlling this process, and must allow Moroccan religious authorities to have control over those children until the age of eighteen in order to make sure that they do not convert to Christianity.

The demands of an Islamic country are no surprise to us anymore, for we know very well their lack of religious freedom. What is really inconceivable is that the Spanish government accepts these conditions. Well, what you have just read, this unprecedented advance of Sharia in our territory, this will soon be included in our legislation.

Some questions arise at this point: what about religious freedom? And the Spanish constitution? And the West?

Apart from other issues, such as another state’s control over our citizens inside our borders, I think that no ruler has the right to create zones inside another territory in which the right to religious freedom is suspended.

Seeing the optimism and “normality” with which some factions like the radical laicists listen this kind of news, it can be understood that for some the concepts of democracy, liberty, human rights, and so on, concepts which they support so much, remain far below their hatred for Christianity (now I’m talking about Spain, of course). They forget — or ignore — that all those rights and liberties are the fruits of a culture rooted in the Christian faith.

  2. There would be plenty more Spanish babies to adopt, if they were not first aborted!

There is no end to the problems caused by abortion, which are visited upon countries that practice this murderous evil.

  3. The current Spanish governmnt and its prime minister, Rajoy, are a bunch of knee-jerk incompetents and opportunists (incclude his majesty and his lover/advisor Corinna (Larsen) vulgo Sayn zu Wittgenstein with their interest in selling high speed trains to the Saudis) and the sell-out is guaranteed.
And then you have as bunch of the usual progre/anti-system crowd who think Al-Andalus was paradise and forgetting how tens of thousands of Christians were
were abused in forced labor campos in Andalusia and North Africa.

    • 50 years ago we were taught about how Ferdinand and Isabella re-christianised Spain and forced Islam out of Western Europe, bearing in mind that it had at one stage got as far as Poitiers before being defeated. This was considered a good thing.
Now, since the anti-Christian, anti-European Marxist historical revisionists have been at work, we are told that the Crusades were a bad thing and that Moorish Spain was a wonderfully civilised place until Ferdie and Iz spoilt it all. Anti-muslim Christian propaganda has such a lot to answer for!! It is still colouring our view of Islam today – or so the Liberal Marxists would say. But their view now is what is being taught to our schoolchildren here in Britain, not the pro-Christian viewpoint that I was taught 50 years ago.

  5. But, but can’t these children use taqiyya? In Morocco, there is a lot of prostitution and abortion, because Muslim women are not allowed to marry non-Muslim men.
Anyhow, Moroccan males should always be viewed with more suspicion than Moroccan females. This is common sense, because of the sexual-reproductive privileges Islam afford to its males. In addition, Moroccans have Moroccan privilege, in that Moroccan males can wear western clothing and smooth chins, and still be seen as Muslims who can enter mosques and the like.
Equality between men and women might be Christian, but Islam forces us to follow common sense.

  6. Are you mad? Spanish people should resist this Totalitarian regime masquerading as religion. Free these children from the shackles of irrationality and non-sense. The very nonsense that plunged Europe into the dark ages once before.
These poor children have done nothing wrong so why would you impose a sentence of a life of unreality and make believe.
This is the one chance to allow these children to take part in a progressive world craved by so many muslim people who are trapped by the threat of death if they leave this religion.

  10. I wonder how they are planning to impose this. Islamic daily care? Islamic elementary schools? 24-hour long observation? Will every Moroccan child come with its own imam?
I grew up in the communist bloc. Bolsheviks took great care to indoctrinate the kids, both in school and during their leisure activities. However, there was still enough wiggle room for parents to talk with kids and explain the real state of things. “Don’t trust anything they say in school until you ask me first. And don’t talk to anybody about this,” that’s what parents told us. “Don’t tell anybody what we’re doing at home. If anybody knew, they would take you away from us.” It worked, since most kids tend to be loyal to their parents.

I still don’t understand why in the world would anybody want to adopt an African child at all. It occurs to me, though, that a person willing to adopt an African child probably won’t have any issues with this arrangement. It’s the same sort of people that helped to introduce the non-European cultures and ethnicities to Europe in the first place.
