Kevin Carroll For Police Commissioner!

Kevin Carroll in NYC

Kevin Carroll, a founder of the English Defence League and now the joint vice-chairman of the British Freedom Party, is standing for police commissioner in Bedfordshire.

In order to file for the election, Kevin needs to raise a deposit of £5000 (about $7860). Any Briton (or friend of Britain) who wants to see real political change in the UK should dig deep and help Kevin get his name on the ballot.

Like other leaders, members, and supporters of British Freedom, Kevin represents the age-old tradition of British liberty, which has been sorely neglected for the last few decades. As police commissioner he would be in a position to advocate for policies that would help restore true civil order to a country that has long been deprived of it.

According to the BF website:

Kevin Carroll For Police Commissioner!

In November 2012, for the first time ever, members of the public will be able to vote for a Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) to act as “the voice of the people and hold the police to account” in their police force area.

Police and crime commissioners (PCCs) will aim to cut crime and deliver an effective and efficient police service within their force area.

To provide stronger and more transparent accountability of the police, PCCs will be elected by the public to hold chief constables and the force to account; effectively making the police answerable to the communities they serve.

Police and crime commissioners will ensure community needs are met as effectively as possible, and will improve local relationships through building confidence and restoring trust. They will also work in partnership across a range of agencies at local and national level to ensure there is a unified approach to preventing and reducing crime.

PCCs will not be expected to run the police. The role of the PCC is to be the voice of the people and hold the police to account.

British Freedom is pleased to announce Party co-Vice Chairman Kevin Carroll as PCC candidate for the Bedfordshire Police Authority. Kevin has strong views on policing and amongst other things will be campaigning for:

  • An end to cuts in the police service.
  • Substantial improvements to pay and conditions of officers on the street, who are at the sharp end of crime and disorder in Britain.
  • An end to political correctness, which is forced on officers by their politicised superiors, hampering their ability to deal with serious crime. Officers tackling crime out on the street need to know that they have 100% backing of their superiors.
  • An end to ‘two-tier’ policing. The law should apply equally to all sections of the community.
  • Strong policing of anti-social behaviour that blights the lives of many families.
  • No more police time wasted on manning speed traps.
  • A crackdown on the dealing of hard drugs.
  • The police force once again focused on dramatically reducing serious crime — criminals and organised gangs should fear the consequences of their actions.

For Kevin’s candidacy, we need to raise a deposit of £5000, and are asking members and supporters to give what they can, so that British Freedom can begin making Britain’s police service properly accountable to the law-abiding majority who pay for it.

Please visit the British Freedom website and help make Kevin Carroll the Bedfordshire Police Commissioner.

  1. Sorry,it will be a waste of money as the press will crucify him and highlight his association with the EDL.I wish him well though. No surrender.

  2. And enough of the wet blankets already! According to people like you, no one should stand up and say anything, or do anything, because (as we well know) the press aren’t on our side.

Well off you go and take your own advice. Disappear and stay silent.

Some people are actually trying to make a difference around here.

  3. This is utterly brilliant! Don’t believe the naysayers Kev, the press doesn’t count for squat at the local electoral level. What counts is boots on the ground: canvassers and organisation. Focusing on local growth is THE way forward for any party with the ambitions of British Freedom.

And even if you don’t win, the political experience and practise will be invaluable. The big issue, is voter registration. That is the big challenge. With voter apathy being what it is, if the EDL can just get enough sympathizers eligible to vote they could make a huge noise. The other big question will be fraud, our asian chums will be up to their old tricks like you wouldn’t believe. Watch for those hundreds of postal votes all filled out at the mosques lads.

  4. I want to make my contribution. How long do we have? This is in everybody’s best interest.

  5. This is a brilliant politcal tactic by British Freedom. I wish Kevin Carroll and British Freedom the best of luck with this manoeuvre. Strike at the heart of the Beast!

  6. Go local and take all the low lying political positions. And if you have have enough like minded people one can get tough no nonsense Sheriffs like Joe Arpio.

But Police commissioner is a good start. Get as many as you can. Give the police the backing to go after Muzzie criminals.

Build up that power base. Replicate it through other towns.

I don’t know how judges are selected in GB. But in the U.S. you can vote the buggers out. If something similar exists in GB, get rid of the flaming Lefties.

  7. During the last EU elections the BNP got 7% in the highly “enriched” town of Luton in Bedfordshire. This was in spite of huge smear campaigning by third parties such as the UAF(United Against Fascism), sponsored by the Labour Party and the Unions, and Hope not Hate supported by the Daily Mirror (a national newspaper). The EDL should forget the MSM because they will get the same treatment, they should instead concentrate on door to door canvassing and leafleting something I haven’t seen them ever do in Luton with respect of their other campaigns.

  8. Censoring my comment,eh? And you all our enemies undemocratic? You should be ashamed of yourselves.

  9. It would be great to see Kev do well. My only concern is this

    – his criminal record (2009)
    – the statement on the BFP page makes no sense
    – the EDL is still seen as a thuggish group full of racists, far right activists and criminals
    – the BFP and EDL are seen as unrepresentative of British values held by the majority of the English people
    – the Breivik connection with the EDL makes it difficult for Brits

If these issues could be addressed, our Kev would have a great chance.
